It could be IR sensor on the TV went to bad. Chek with Panasonic website to lcoate an Panasonic service center. You may able to bring remote there to test if your remote is good. Then, you will know for sure sensor may need to be replaced.

Did you try an universal remote? (You can get one from Wal-Mart or Best Buy). The TV has remote sensor, may be it went to bad.

Please unplug tv for 10 minutes and try again. Also, you may consider to go Wal-mart to buy an universal remote to try. TV ir sensor may go bad.

Hello- I have a Pioneer Elite Pro 118 60″ projection TV from 1996. It gets power, red LED is on. But when you hit Power button, you hear the normal click, like it’s trying to turn on, then nothing. Its a huge TV, seems a waste to get rid of it. I know it would be tough to provide an estimate without seeing it first, but do you have any thoughts? Thanks,

Please advice the model number for your Pioneer TV. You can find it on the back of TV, there should be a white sticker.

it could be power supply issue (it seems goes power protection mode). It is hard to know if Pioneer still has part available, you can call Pioneer to find out an authorized service center near you to see how much for diagnostic.
